I, Admiral Bombow, challenge you to explore the Land navigating with my collection of map fragments.
For many years I provided accommodation for weary travellers in the inn. In the course of preparing their rooms I discovered a remarkable number of sketched extracts from larger maps, presumably forgotten by previous occupants. I am curious to know the meaning of these sketches. My challenge is to decipher the meaning of their common code, and hence identify the location that is marked with a large "X", on each map fragment.
Once you're satisfied that you've done your best, email your answers to bombow@mud2.com, mentioning your persona name in the subject line. To stand a chance of winning I must have received your entries by the end of Tuesday, 31 March. The victorious player, who will be presented with a suitable reward, shall be the first person to have submitted the greatest number of correct locations by that date. In the event more than one player submits a faultless set of answers, the answers submitted earlier will take precedence and win.
When I next see a friendly archwizard after Tuesday 31 March, I'll ask him to announce an open invitation to the Prize Giving Ceremony. Naturally, as in my first Challenge, a variety of generous Runners Up prizes will be also be awarded.
NB: Although the map fragments are correct in as far as they go, they are not necessarily complete! |
Good Luck!
